Frequently Asked Questions

Open Graph meta tags are code snippets that control how your content appears when shared on social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. They define the title, description, image, and other properties of your shared content.

Twitter Cards are Twitter-specific meta tags that give you control over how your content appears on Twitter. While Twitter can fall back to Open Graph tags, using Twitter-specific tags gives you more control and allows for different content on Twitter vs other platforms.

The recommended Open Graph image size is 1200x630 pixels. This size works well for both Facebook and LinkedIn. For Twitter, the recommended size is also 1200x630 for large image cards, or 800x418 for summary cards with large images.

Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags should be added to the <head> section of your HTML document. They should appear before the closing </head> tag.

While Twitter can use Open Graph tags as a fallback, it is recommended to include Twitter-specific tags for optimal control over your Twitter appearance. Our generator creates both sets of tags for maximum compatibility.
