Frequently Asked Questions
For women: US 4 = EU 36, US 6 = EU 38, US 8 = EU 40. Add 30 to US women's dress sizes for approximate EU size. Men's shirt sizes (S/M/L) are more universal, but numbered sizes vary.
There is no universal sizing standard. "Vanity sizing" means brands label larger sizes with smaller numbers. Sizes have gotten larger over decades - a 1950s size 8 is closer to today's size 2.
Asian sizes (Japan, Korea, China) run 2-3 sizes smaller than US sizes. A US Medium is often Asian XL or XXL. Always check specific size charts when ordering from Asian brands.
Key measurements: chest/bust, waist, hips (for bottoms). For women: also underbust for bras. For men: neck and sleeve length for dress shirts. Use a soft measuring tape, measure at the fullest point.
